How Fogón's grocery list works

Most grocery list apps make you type every item by hand. In Fogón the list starts from your recipes: the ones you saved from a photo, the ones you typed yourself, or the ones your family shares in a recipe book.

“Already at home”: stop buying what you have

Plenty of oil, salt and rice in the cupboard? Tap the little house and the item moves to “Already at home”. Fogón remembers: next time a recipe brings it, it goes straight there. When you run out, move it back to the list with one tap.

Supermarket mode

At the store, turn on supermarket mode: the screen stays on, the text gets bigger and the aisles follow your order. As you check items off, finished aisles fold up on their own and you can see how much is left.

Your recipes and your list, in one app

The grocery list is just one part of Fogón. You can also keep all your recipes organized by saving them from a photo, digitize your family's handwritten recipes, share recipe books with anyone you like, and cook step by step in cooking mode, with big type and the screen always on.

FAQ

Can I share the grocery list with my family?

Not for now: the grocery list is stored on your phone and is just yours. What you can share are family recipe books, so everyone can send the ingredients of the same recipes to their own list.

Can I add items that don't come from a recipe?

Yes. Type the item with its quantity (for example, “2 liters of milk”) and Fogón puts it in the right aisle along with the rest of your list.

Is the app free?

You can download Fogón and start for free. There's an optional Premium subscription that raises the limits on recipes, recipe books and AI imports.

Is it available on Android?

For now Fogón is available on iPhone (iOS). The Android version is on its way: email [email protected] and we'll let you know when it's ready.
